Responsive Rock Band Websites

Why Responsive?

Building a responsive rock band website is essential to a successful presence. Studies suggest 72% of all online users want a mobile ready site.

“Websites that aren’t mobile-friendly annoy users and that’s bad business. Consumers are doing more on mobile devices, including shopping and product research; when they do, users look for content to meet their on-the-go needs.” – Source Search Engine Watch

So what, exactly, are consumers looking for in a band website accessed from a mobile device?

  • Site speed – loading time of 5 seconds or less
  • Big, mobile-friendly buttons, iTunes links ( for us apple users)
  • Limited scrolling and pinching
  • HTML5 Video
  • Quick access to business contact information
  • “Click to Purchase” access to swag and mp3’s
  • Links to the company’s social media profiles

Quick access to music, video, show dates with times and directions are a crucial part of a bands online strategy.  Consumers seeking retail information are looking for things they can act on immediately. While they still prefer to do deep research, read reviews, and make big purchases on desktops; making contact and taking action are their priorities when mobile consumers are on the go.
