Search Engine Optimization – Associating Webmaster Tools with Analytics

Well now, it appears after the uproar of users looking for (not provided) organic keyword results in Analytics, Google has decided to integrate Webmaster Tools with Analytics.

Read my article on Google’s (not provided) over here

Here’s how to find your organic keywords. (From your Google Analytics Dashboard)

1. Click Acquisition –> Search Engine Optimization –> Queries

queries

2. You should now see something like this.

webmaster_tools

3. Click Set up Webmaster Tools data sharing

4. Set your “Default View.”  This would be your Analytics account name which will appear in the drop down.

select_view

5. Click Save

save

Success!

You should then see a success message at the top of the page.  If you entered something incorrectly, you would have been prompted to check your required fields.

success

Ta Dah!

If everything went smoothly, you should be able to view your keyword in Analytics now instead of switching interfaces to Web Master Tools.

Thanks for visiting MWU!
